I finished reading a new book this weekend called "Strength Training for Triathletes" by Patrick Hagerman. I've read a couple other books on weight training that were supposed to be geared towards cycling and triathlon but found that they were really more focussed on general fitness with a little bit of extra emphasis on some cycling specific exercises. This latest book however is the real deal. It helps you determine what areas an individual needs to work on most and develop a specific program targeting what that individual's goals and weaknesses happen to be. It breaks down specific exercises that help you in all three disciplines. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to start a strength training program before next season. It is a quick read so time isn't much of an excuse not to get this one!
