|

OK Gang here's the operation. I will be leaving the parking lot across the street from the Yorktown pier at approximately 0630-0640. I will be riding to Jamestown on the parkway around 16-17 MPH. I'm going to be pushing a little, because I need to meet Sonny in Jamestown. In Jamestown, I will turn around and return to Yorktown shooting for 17-18 MPH. Should be around 45-50 miles. Afterward, if anyone wants to join me for a quick 2 mile run at around a 9:00 pace, that'd be great. I know it's early, but I have dinner party to plan that involves lots of grilling and beer. That time of day it should be mid-70s with moderately high humidity. PERFECT riding weather. _________________ Matt, CAT Secretary |

I'll be joining Matt in Jamestown and riding to Yorktown with him, then back to my house (around 70 miles round trip, 50 on the parkway) if anyone in the Burg wants to meet us. I will be leaving my house around 7:30 and getting to the Jamestown end of the Parkway around 8:00AM.
It would be great to see few other peeps out there

Jan,
I think the group rides are always on Saturday!?!? Either way the ride was canceled this week. Matt couldn't make it so I just went out on my own from home (Williamsburg). I did do the ride to Yorktown and back via the Parkway. I'm not sure I'd do it again though...the Parkway is brutal in Jamestown!!!!
Hope you had a good ride...

I agree, that parkway vibrates me so bad that the jands get numb. _________________ Susan O'Neal

Yeah...I rode from Grafton/Yorktown to Jametown and back on Sunday and the surface either side of Williamsburg (and halfway to Jametown) is unbelievably tore up.
There must be a better way. |

Baby was up all night, so I had to cancel. I ride on Saturday typically. Sonny/Jan how about sharing some routes so we can get away from the Parkway. _________________ Matt, CAT Secretary |
